The Square D by Schneider Electric Homeline 15 Amp Single-Pole Plug-on Neutral Combination Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI) helps protect wires from arcing faults and is intended for overload and short-circuits protection of your electrical system. Unlike standard thermal-magnetic circuit breakers that cannot detect dangerous arcs, CAFCI circuit breakers detect both series and parallel arcs and shut down the entire circuit before a fire starts. Advanced electronic technology monitors the circuit for the presence of dangerous arcing conditions. If such conditions are observed, the circuit breaker trips, cutting off the current and voltage to the arc fault which helps to keep people and property safe.
